ABOUT MIKA CHONG

Mika Chong is an artist based out of the Bay Area in Northern California who strives to evoke emotion within the viewer through movement and fluidity. Her works use a broad range of mediums, and while mainly working in printmaking and painting, her theme of mood and emotion stays consistent. Growing up in a mixed Asian household, Mika draws inspiration from her upbringing and Asian culture to create an immersive cultural experience. Through her time spent learning about self-identity and Japanese American culture, Mika’s pieces have become her way of bridging communities together through art. She now works to create pieces that help people connect through shared experiences and cultural understanding
